These Terms and Conditions prevail in the event of any conflict or inconsistency with any other communications, including advertising or promotional materials. Entry and claim instructions are deemed to form part of the Terms and Conditions and by entering this promotion all participants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by the Terms and Conditions. Participants should retain a copy for their information.

The Promoter takes data protection seriously. By entering in this promotion, participants confirm that they have read the Privacy Policy, and agree to these Terms and Conditions of the promotion. By submitting any information required as part of their participation into the campaign, participants agree to their information being held and processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Data Protection Act 2018.

Entry Eligibility

  1. The competition is open to employees of retail customers based in the United Kingdom (England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland) and Republic of Ireland who are aged 18 and over only.
  2. Entry excludes employees (and their immediate families) of the Promoter, affiliated companies, agents, or anyone else professionally connected with the promotion.
  3. Participants will be required to nominate one colleague to be awarded a 'SOLGAR GOLDEN MOMENT' prize. Permission must be obtained from the individual to be nominated and participants must have the permission of their employer to take part in the promotion.
  4. Internet access and registration required.
    • Participants will be invited to complete an entry form including the entrant's first name, last name, business name and a valid email address, and compile a written composition on the following subject: 'Which of your colleagues deserves an awe-inspiring experience?' in no more than 250 words to constitute a valid entry.
    • The entry submission/composition must be original, created and written by the entrant and cannot infringe the copyright or other intellectual property rights of any third party.
    • Entries must be uploaded to
    • 100 nominations will be drawn at random for inclusion in the final judging process.
    • Five (5) winners will be selected by the judging panel based on the criteria:
      • Originality and uniqueness
      • Impact on wellness and vitality
      • Character and personality
      • Relevance to the health needs supported by Solgar
    • Each prize is valued at approximately £2000. Any personal tax liability arising from winning a prize will be the sole responsibility of the winners.
  6. The competition will be open for entries online from 00:01 on 03.06.24 to 23:59 on 31.07.24.
  7. Entry is only possible via the promotional website. Attempts to enter via any other route will be deemed invalid.
  8. Maximum one (1) entry per person.
  9. No entries (bulk or otherwise) from other trade groups, agents, third parties, organized groups, syndicates, or aliases will be accepted. If it becomes apparent that a participant is re-entering the same or similar content or stories multiple times via aliases or using a computer(s) to circumvent this condition by, for example, the use of 'script', 'brute force' or any other automated means, that person's entries will be disqualified, and any prize award will be void.
  10. Only official entries made in line with these competition instructions will be accepted. Entrants can only enter once into the competition.
  11. All entries must be free of copyright.
  12. Any entries received outside the stated promotional dates, deemed not to be of the relevant standard in terms of answers or content, or any stories that have been adapted, edited or plagiarized will not be entered into the competition.
  13. Any entry story/composition found to be copied, doctored, or amended or plagiarized, will be disqualified.
  14. The story/composition must be unique for this promotion and cannot be a re-use of work entered in any other writing competition.
  15. Obscene or inappropriate entries, in the opinion of the Promoter, will not be accepted. Entrants are solely responsible for the information they provide and views they express in the story/composition.
  16. All potential winners are subject to verification of eligibility and compliance with these Terms and Conditions and the requirements of Solgar and Nestlé UK Ltd.
  17. Comments, photos and compositions must not infringe the copyright or other intellectual property rights of any third party (including professional photographers). The Promoter reserves the right to remove any comments it deems to be:
    • Violent, negative or/and discriminative of any ethnic, racial, gender, religious, professional or age group, or be profane or obscene;
    • Promote or be about the use of illegal drugs, tobacco, firearms/weapons, any activities that may appear unsafe or dangerous, or any particular political agenda or message;
    • Be offensive or be about hate;
    • Defame, misrepresent or contain negative remarks about the Promoter or its products, other people, products or companies;
    • Contain trademarks owned by others or advertise or promote any brand or product of any kind, without permission;
    • Contain copyrighted materials owned by others (including photographs, sculptures, paintings and other works of art or images published on or in websites, television, movies or other media or musical "samples") without permission;
    • Contain materials embodying the names, likenesses, photographs, or other indicia identifying any person, living or dead, other than the participant, without permission;
    • Communicate messages or images inconsistent with the positive images and/or goodwill to which the Promoter wishes to associate;
    • Depict, and cannot itself be in, violation of any law.
  18. Entrants further agree that no content will be submitted that:
    • Is known by you to be false, inaccurate or misleading;
    • Uses names or characters whose permission has not been granted;
    • Encourages or advocates any unlawful or unauthorized behaviour or activity or violates any law, statute, ordinance or regulation;
    • Is offensive, obscene, vulgar, or is inappropriate for a public and family friendly forum;
    • Contains references to Individuals smoking tobacco, drinking or appearing to be under the influence of alcohol.
    • Is, or may be considered to be, defamatory, libellous, hateful, racially or religiously biased or offensive, threatening or harassing to any individual or entity;
    • Includes any information that references other websites, addresses, email addresses, contact information or phone numbers; or
    • Contains any computer viruses, worms, Trojan horses or other potentially damaging computer programs or files.
    • Infringes any third party's copyright, patent, trademark, trade secret, rights of publicity rights of privacy, moral rights or any other applicable personal or proprietary rights.
  19. The Promoter and their agents reserve the right, but not the obligation, to:
    1. Monitor or review the answers and the story/composition content that the entrant has submitted;
    2. Remove or refuse take forward as an entry any Content submitted that The Promoter deems in its sole discretion to be inappropriate or violate any of these Terms and Conditions without giving notice;
    3. Forward any inappropriate content to the necessary authorities.
  20. The Promoter does not guarantee that you will have any recourse to edit or delete any story/composition content once submitted. The Promoter has the right to remove or refuse to accept any entry for any reason. By taking part, participants acknowledge that they, not the Promoter, are responsible for the contents of their submission. None of the content that participants submit shall be subject to any obligation of confidence on the part of the Promoter, its agents, subsidiaries, affiliates, or third-party service providers and their respective directors, officers and employees.
  21. It is the responsibility of the winners to provide their correct, up-to-date details at the time of acceptance in order for their prize to be processed. Neither the Promoter, nor its fulfilment agent can be held responsible for the winners failing to supply accurate information which affects prize acceptance.
  22. By participating in the Promotion, the competition respondents license and grants the Promoter an exclusive, royalty free, perpetual, worldwide, irrevocable, and sub-licensable right to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, and display such content for any purpose in any media, without compensation, restriction on use, attribution, or liability. Participants agree not to assert any moral rights in relation to such use where the moral rights in respect of the content are theirs to assert. Participants warrant that any comments or photos are their own, have not been copied, in whole or in part, from any third party and they have full authority to grant these rights.


The five (5) winners may choose one of the following prizes:

Option 1 – Glamping Weekend – For two adults

£100 travel allowance (total).
3 nights' glamping accommodation, with locations available across the south of England.
Breakfast hamper.
One half-day activity of winner's choice in the local area – options will vary by location, but could include paddleboarding, high ropes course, surf lessons, kayaking or bike hire.
Three-course dinner and drinks at a top local restaurant, up to the value of £75 per person including service charge.

Option 2 – Theatre Trip – For two adults and two under 16s

Return train travel from mainland UK rail station to London.
Return private station transfers in London.
1 night's hotel accommodation (4* min) in London, based on sharing a family room.
Tickets to a theatre show of the winner's choice.
Dinner at a family friendly restaurant, up to the total value of £250 including drinks and gratuity.

Option 3 – A night in Paris – For two adults

Return flights or Eurostar from London to Paris.
Return private transfers from Paris airport/train station to the hotel.
One (1) night's hotel accommodation in Paris, based on sharing a twin/double room.
Seine River cruise with three-course lunch, approx. 2hrs.
Three-course dinner and drinks at a local restaurant, up to the value of £75 per person including gratuity.
(Note: Excludes travel in July and August)

Option 4 – Weekend Break in Krakow – For two adults

Return economy flights from London to Krakow.
Return airport transfers in Krakow.
2 night's hotel accommodation (4* min) in Krakow, based on two people sharing a double/twin room.
Daily breakfast.
Dinner at a local restaurant in Krakow, up to the value of £50 per person including drinks and gratuity.
Travel insurance.

Option 5 - Weekend Spa Break (2 Nights) – For two adults

Travel allowance of £50 per person.
2 night's spa hotel accommodation (4*), based on sharing a double/twin room, with multiple locations available nationwide.
Access to spa and leisure facilities throughout guests' stay.
Three-course dinner and drinks at the hotel's restaurants, up to the value of £75 per person, including drinks and service charge.
1 x 50-minute spa treatment per guest, with a range of massage, facial and beauty treatments available to choose from (exact options will vary by location).

Due to the nature of the prize activity, the winner must be 18 years or over, and the parent or legal guardian of any accompanying minors. Any physical activity or exercise at the venues is undertaken at the winner's own risk.

Winner selection process (The competition)

  1. All valid entries will be judged against the stated criteria by a panel of judges from all valid entries received by the closing date.
  2. The judging panel will consist of a panel of judges, senior members from Solgar and the creative agency, with an independent auditor throughout.
  3. All judges have the experience in this type of competition and are aware of the judging criteria.
  4. Judging will take place using an independently verified process so that everything can be audited throughout and thus meet the required standards.
  5. All entries will be judged on merit based on the criteria:
    • Original and Uniqueness
    • Impact on wellness and vitality
    • Character and Personality
    • Relevance to the Health Needs supported by Solgar
  6. In the event of a tie situation, the highest score from a combination of original and unique within the judging criteria will take precedence to determine the winner.

Claim Process

  1. The winner will be contacted within seven (7) days of the closing date of the competition.
  2. All the winners will be asked to respond within the timescale detailed via a secure communication method for verification and claim details.
  3. All the winners will be required to re confirm their full name and address, within seven (7) days of being notified that they are a winner.
  4. All winners will also need to produce proof of UK or ROI residency and photographic ID.
  5. The Promoter will make reasonable efforts to contact the winners. After successful contact and the subsequent receipt of relevant personal information to allow verification, the claim will be processed, and the prize dispatch, communication and confirmation arranged. Winners must follow the instructions provided to claim their prize within 7 days from notification, this will include providing personal details (including home delivery address) to verify that the win is genuine and valid. Failure of any winner to claim their prize within these timescales or if a selected winner is ineligible, rejects their prize, otherwise in breach of these Terms and Conditions, or unable to take up the prize for any other reason allows the Promoter to withhold the prize from the original winner who will have been deemed to have forfeited the prize. The Promoter reserves the right to allocate the prize to the reserve winner judged next in line as the next highest ranked competitor. Winners should retain their notification email message until their win has been verified. The reserve winner contacting process will continue until up to three (3) reserves have been contacted for any outstanding prize. Any prizes that have not been claimed after this process has been executed will become null and void, but the promoter reserves the right to add the prize back in a later monthly competition or the late competition. Entrants are encouraged to monitor their email account including checking their junk and spam folders during this time in case they are a winner.
  6. The Promoter is not responsible or liable for:
    • Any entries that are lost or delayed due to faulty or failed electronic data transmissions.
    • Communications line failure, regardless of cause, with regard to any equipment, systems, networks, lines satellites, servers, computers or providers utilised in any aspect of this Promotion causing delays or disruption.
    • For entries which are lost, delayed, corrupted, damaged, misdirected, or incomplete or cannot be delivered for any technical, delivery or other reason. Proof of entry/transmission will not be accepted as proof of receipt.
  7. Incomplete, illegal, misdirected, or late entries will not be accepted.
  8. No cash or other alternative will be available in lieu of the stated prizes except in the event of circumstances beyond its control, the Promoters reserve the right to offer an alternative prize, in whole or part, of equal or greater value. The prize suppliers are in no way associated with, or sponsors of, this promotion.
  9. Once the winners have been validated, winners' details will be provided to the relevant fulfilment teams in order to arrange their prize.
  10. Subject to the Promoter's Privacy Policy, the surname and county of the verified winners will be available upon request by sending an email to: with the subject line "WINNERS' LIST: SOLGAR RETAILER AWE-INSPIRING GOLDEN MOMENTS COMPETITION" for a period of three (3) months following the end of the promotion. We may nevertheless disclose the information to the Advertising Standards Authority if required to do so.


  1. Limitations of liability: Neither the Promoter, its agents, or anyone professionally connected to the Promotion, assume any responsibility or liability for:
    1. Any for any faulty or failed electronic data transmissions. Entries or otherwise.
    2. Communications line failure, regardless of cause, with regards to any equipment, systems, networks, lines, satellites, servers, computers, or providers utilised in any aspect of this promotion.
    3. Inaccessibility or unavailability of the internet or the website or any combination thereof.
  2. Incomplete, illegible, misdirected or entries received outside any promotional period will not be accepted. Proof of sending will not be accepted as proof of delivery. The Promoter takes no responsibility for entries delayed, incomplete or lost due to technical reasons or otherwise.
  3. Promoter reserves the right to verify the winners and to refuse to award the prize or withdraw prize entitlement where there are reasonable grounds to believe there has been a breach of these Terms and Conditions or any instructions forming part of this promotion's entry requirements, or otherwise where a participant has gained an unfair advantage in participating in the promotion or won using fraudulent means.
  4. By taking part in the promotion, the winner agrees that the Promoter may contact them to ask whether they want to participate in marketing activities/PR relating to this promotion only. Such publicity may include, without limitation, the entrants' name and/or if consent given, image or statements made by entrants concerning the promotion and/or prize obtained as part of the promotion. The winner(s) are not obliged to agree to any such requests.
  5. The Promoter and its associated agencies and companies will not be liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense or damage which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any person's negligence) in connection with this promotion or accepting or using the prizes, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law (including personal injury, death and fraud) in which case that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law.
  6. If, for any reason, any aspect of this promotion is not capable of running as planned, including by reason of infection by computer virus, network failure, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other cause beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this promotion, the Promoter may in its sole discretion modify or suspend the promotion or invalidate any affected entries. If an act, omission, event, or circumstance occurs which is beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter and which prevents the Promoter from complying with these Terms and Conditions the Promoter will not be liable for any failure to perform or delay in performing its obligation but will always endeavour to minimise the effect to participants in order to avoid undue disappointment.
  7. In the event of circumstances outside the Promoter's reasonable control and only where circumstances make this unavoidable, the Promoter and those partnered with the competition reserve the right to cancel or amend the competition, or these Terms and Conditions, at any stage but will endeavour to minimize the effect to entrants in order to avoid undue disappointment.
  8. If any of these clauses should be determined to be illegal, invalid, or otherwise unenforceable then it shall be severed and deleted from these Terms and Conditions and the remaining clauses shall survive and remain in full force and effect.
  9. The Promotion and these Terms and Conditions will be governed by the laws of the participating country and any disputes as to the meaning of these Terms and Conditions will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the participant's local courts.
